Funeral services for Creg Thompson 73 were held at a Saratoga cemetery. He died at his home in Saratoga Tuesday after living in Columbus most of his life and operating a farm there in recent years. Survived by his widow six sons and three daughters.
A gas explosion leveled a two story Chicago building injuring a fire department lieutenant and five tenants. Fire officials said gas caused the blast and fire broke out immediately after, making rescue work hazardous for responders.
