Schuyler B. Marshall Jr former Dallas sheriff is held on kidnaping and robbery charges in Fort Worth after the abduction of Elbert Farr a Mansfield power plant night watchman. Police say a gang targeted Mans field and the town bank. Marshall is alleged to be a gang member.
Winston-Salem article reports Francis C. Sullivan a Raleigh resident and Charleston native was found not guilty by Forsyth Superior Court in a first degree burglary case involving a $2 theft from C. J. Williamson's room. The text notes that first degree burglary carries the death penalty in North Carolina.
