Welfare Rolls Used Says Blaylock
Arkansas Welfare Commissioner Len Blaylock told the Welfare Board that welfare rolls were used in the recent state political campaign and that the practice violates state law. He said he could not identify the person or persons responsible and noted the Dallas DEH&W office expressed concern over illegal welfare list mailings in each election year since 1956. The board adopted a resolution condemning future use of welfare rolls for political mailings. Blaylock added evidence of Crank using rolls in every county except Randolph and Searey.
