Nevada county liquor vote reflects deeper divide in law
A Nevada County liquor referendum shows a near split, with 463 votes for days and 409 for wets, underscoring long-standing community division over criminal law. The piece argues that enforcement falters when society is evenly split, citing Arkansas governor Futrell’s publicly owned liquor proposal and the failed Thorn package-store law.
