Negro Youth, 11, Held for 2 Burglaries
Hope Police report two burglaries over the weekend attributed to an 11 year old Negro youth. The youth entered Overturf's Shoe Store Saturday night via a rear window and stole 100 dollars in half dollars. He then entered Delaney's Grocery on Second downtown Sunday night and took a pistol and 68 dollars in food stamps. Officers recovered the pistol, food stamps, and 54 dollars in half dollars, and the youth will be turned over to juvenile authorities.
