A dense smog blanketed the Donora area over the weekend with no major injuries reported. Investigators continued efforts to determine the October disaster’s cause, after a heavy black fog shrouded the town for five days and tied to several deaths.

Woman Sought for Abducting 4A Children in Coalinga

Coalinga California police issued a kidnapping warrant for Kathleen King a 50 year old grandmother, accused of abducting her four grandchildren ages six to twelve by chartered plane. Zoel Lynch the children's father told authorities the mother and he had custody sharing details since 1941. The aircraft was allegedly used for a Christmas shopping trip and may have headed toward Las Vegas New Mexico or Albuquerque New Mexico, possibly New York City.
