Mr and Mrs Charles Jorsdan and Tena visited Richard Brown and Melvista in Arkadelphia Sunday with a pink rose. Robin McLelland was flower girl Gary Dean Clark best man. Ushers Stan Parris and Kenneth Wills. Mothers wore beige and blue lace dresses with orchid corsages. After the ceremony guests gathered in the church foyer with Miss Ann Stephenson handling the guest book. The couple will reside in Hope after a wedding trip until his next Marine Corps assignment.

Arkansas Supreme Court affirms two murder convictions
The Arkansas Supreme Court affirmed the second degree murder conviction and 15 year sentence of Johnnie Gilchrist of Little Rock for the 1965 shooting of his brother Walter Gilchrist. It rejected his appeal claiming the judge erred in not instructing the jury on manslaughter. The court also upheld Deola Fisher Sr.’s murder conviction and sentence for a 1964 Benton County shooting.
