Daniels fled July 14 from the Mississippi County jail. officers say money, a deputy badge, and a pistol were stolen. He was taken to Cook County Hospital. hearing before a U.S. commissioner will determine next steps.

Rescue teams completed removing 81 sightseers left stranded in cabins high above an Alpine glacier after a cable snapped near Mont Blanc. Cazort also set aside a prior sale to Tedesco Inc of St Paul Minn. offered $17 550 by Mr and Mrs C Reeves and Missy June Woosley of Texarkana involving trustee Morris of Hot Springs and potential recovery from Tedesco for losses due to noncompliance with the former sale terms.
Mrs Delona Bogan 45 a former Arkansas resident of New Orleans was killed Tuesday when her car collided with a truck. The driver Betty Garrett 34 of Houston Texas and the two couples lived at a motel. Coroners office could not determine her prior Arkansas residence.
U S Assistant Secretary of State G Mennen Williams was punched at Lusaka airport in Southern Rhodesia. Local officials expressed deep regret while Lusaka Mayor Richard Sampson described the act as disgraceful. The assailant, reportedly a well known resident under drink influence, was tackled by Gov Sir Evelyn Howe and aides and handed to police.
