Weather continued from page one describes cloudy humid conditions with scattered afternoon and evening thundershowers in the southwest portion and isolated showers elsewhere this afternoon tonight and Thursday. Highs reach upper 80s to mid 90s with lows from mid 60s to mid 70s and Thursday highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s.

3 Story Leap Proves Futile in Chicago Escape

The FBI reports Mississippi County jail escapee Willie Gene Daniels leaped from a fourth story window in Chicago to flee arresting agents but was subdued. Nine Black students entered Atlanta public schools marking the end of ten years of segregation in the city. Williams Slugged at Lusaka Airport in Rhodesia Incident

U S Assistant Secretary of State G Mennen Williams was punched at Lusaka airport in Southern Rhodesia.
