Policing using tear gas and nightsticks drove back a 200 to 300 strong crowd in Wilmington after a white man, John Bailey, posted bail for shooting 13 year old Sheila Farrell who remained in critical condition. Demonstrators protested Bailey’s bail and demanded harsher charges as state police guarded shops and arrested two people.
