Pro Prospects for Chargers Defense and Offense Mix
The Chargers show explosive offense led by a pump gun pass game and strong receiving corps with Lance Alworth and Gary Gorman. Sid Gillman provides direction amid a solid line and a deep defensive roster. Key players include John Hadi at quarterback, Marty Comies as a potential successor, and a stable of running backs—Post, Hubbert, Lincoln—coming off surgeries. The defense remains porous at times but is anchored by veterans and youngsters like Washington, Ridge, Appleton, and Redman. Special teams are led by Dennis Partee, with Redman as punter support.
