Logan Bailey Named Talbot’s New Hope Manager
Logan Bailey, a well known Hope resident, is named manager of Talbot's department store on West Second Street. Formerly a Geo W Robison clerk for 12 years and later a Hawks Buck representative, he travels for the company. Jett Lee Talley becomes ladies department buyer at Talbot's, previously with Robison. They left for Dallas to buy fall merchandise as remodeling will start next week, updating interior and exterior of the Patterson’s location.

Hawaii Clipper Missing With 15 Aboard In Pacific Flight
The Hawaii Clipper departed Guam for Manila on July 28 with nine crew and six passengers. A Japanese navy report said the missing Clipper was found 850 tiles south of Cape Shimonoseki.
