Spy deaths tied to secret Laos Cambodia missions

SAIGON AP reports the Pentagon says 102 Americans were killed on spy missions in Laos and Cambodia since 1965. It did not confirm deaths on similar missions inside North Vietnam and notes many patrols, code named Daniel Boone, were run by Indochinese teams under American directives.

The Associated Press reports widely scattered thundershowers will return to Arkansas Tuesday as a high pressure area drifts eastward. ACLU releases eye witness notes on Kent State shootings

The ACLU has released pieces of unpublished eye witness accounts about Kent State that allegedly show a civilian fired on demonstrators. Transcripts describe a man with a .38 revolver standing with National Guardsmen and firing. Other witnesses speak of a chrome revolver and a student being pistol whipped before the shooting. Washington schools set to open August 20

Washington schools will open for registration and classes Monday August 20 with an 8 15 starting time and 12 15 dismissal. Buses will run regular routes as last year and first grade and kindergarten require birth certificates and immunization records at registration. Faculty workshops are scheduled for August 16 and 17.
