Grand Jury to Resume Monday in Hempstead County

The grand jury will reconvene in the Hempstead County Court House at 9 a.m. Monday. Anyone with information on unlawful or unethical behavior by public officials is urged to appear. Suspect Held in Slaying of Coed Beineman

ANN ARBOR AP A man is held in the slaying of Karen Sue Beineman one of seven young women found murdered in the Ann Arbor Ypsilanti area in two years John Collins 23 of Ypsilanti was arrested Thursday night and to be charged with first degree murder in Ypsilanti District Court He resembles the motorcyclist seen with Miss Beineman before her disappearance and her body was found in a ravine north of Ypsilanti She was an Eastern Michigan University coed and the third victim from the university in this period.

West Co. to Rebuild in Three Months

West Co. announced the focal store destroyed by fire in the Villa opening Center will be rebuilt in the same area. The company hopes to see a new store opened in three months. Risinger said the loss to the fire was $190,000 and a temporary ballooning tea is at its Voltage Shopping Center.
