The Associated Press reports showers and thunderstorms across northwest Arkansas, drifting east through Wednesday. The National Weather Service warns 1 to 3 inches of rain likely, with heavier amounts possible as bands move across the state.
Weather outlook for Arkansas remains showery with 50 to 100 percent rain chances across the state tonight and Wednesday. Temperatures stay mild with highs ranging from the low 70s to low 80s and overnight lows in the upper 50s to mid 60s. Rainfall totals include 1.88 inches Fayetteville, 1.77 Harrison, and 2.17 Fort Smith. experiment station report tallies a high of 83 and a low of 61.
Late Sen Ralph Patterson of North Little Rock will hold a news conference to discuss a proposed recall bill for certain officials. He expects a special session and said he would sponsor the measure applying to officials from local to state levels.

Chrysler Corp boosted average car prices by about 99 dollars after a 98 percent decline in first quarter profits. The company expects two more increases in five months, while contrasting views from executives and the Cost of Saving Council.
