Dickens site George Inn at Southwark saved for nation
The George Inn, linked to Dickens and the Pickwick Papers, is preserved for the nation after bequest by the London and North Eastern railway to the National Trust. The inn near the old Marchalsea prison is to remain as an inn and historic site.

Local Social Notes From Fairview to Fulton
