The Associated Press reports that since 1934 U S citizens have been barred from owning gold as an investment. After two dollar devaluations the ban’s repeal looks closer though House action is uncertain. Senate language would lift it by December 31, 1973, with conference and committee hurdles ahead.

Roland B. Carey, 60, died at home in Wilmington, DO, on Tuesday, April 24. Donald Lee Willis, 40, died Thursday in Lapuente, Calif., after a lengthy illness. Ray predicts eventual release from prison
