Hope High School Band earns top marks at state contest
Hope High School Band placed in multiple divisions at the State Band contest in Hot Springs. The concert band earned first division in B class with Camden Forrest City Hope and Magnolia, and various second and third divisions across saxophone, trombone and clarinet ensembles. Blevins School District Seeks Bids for Project
Sealed proposals for a school project in Blevins Arkansas will be received at the district office and opened later. Plans and specifications are available from architect D F Weaver with a ten dollar deposit, refundable on return in good condition. Harriss AP Bureau dies after heart attack in Little Rock
W B Harriss of the Associated Press Little Rock bureau died Monday at his home, a heart attack listed as the cause. He joined AP in 1918 at Little Rock and worked on Morse wire before teletype. He is survived by his widow.
