The National Weather Service reports a period of heavy rainfall with Little Rock recording nearly eight inches in a 24 hour span. Forecasts indicate clearing skies and a return to fair conditions after the deluge.
The Hope Star reports a forecast showing a mix of sun and a chance of showers later in the week. Highs expected in the low 80s with cooler overnight lows around the 50s. Rain reports include Pine Bluff El Dorado Texarkana Jonesboro Memphis and Little Rock with varied inches.
Sealed proposals addressed to Hempstead County Judge Finis Odor will be received at the Hempstead County Courthouse Hope Arkansas until 10 AM on May 3 1974 for soil cement and single seal per square yard patch and reseal asphalt per square yard and cold mix asphalt per ton Arkansas Highway Specifications.
