Missing 3 Year Old Found After 15 Hour Swamp Search
Big Rapids Michigan residents joined a 100-strong posse in a grueling overnight search for Jacqueline Simons, reported missing at 4 p.m. yesterday. A relief patrol found the brownhaired, blue-eyed girl about seven miles from home at 7 a.m. cold and exhausted yet in fair condition, clutching a teddy bear. She had pushed a buggy into swampy underbrush and was returned to her father Carl Simons as mother Ardina traveled to town. The child, toddling from the farmhouse while her grandfather watched, escaped serious harm despite mud and exposure.
