Universe likely doomed to fiery end in 10 billion years
Navy researchers report evidence from a 100 mile high Aerobee flight suggesting the universe is a closed curved system containing enough matter to halt expansion and cause the cosmos to collapse into a final fireball about ten billion years from now. Dr Richard C Henry of the Naval Research Laboratory announced the findings amid a symposium for the Hulburt Center for Space Research noting the data imply a finite universe with enough mass to produce complete curvature.
