Manhunt ends in capture of escapee Nail near Rogers
John Wallace Nail, 35, of Waggoner Oklahoma, eluded authorities after an escape attempt with two accomplices. Nail was found standing in the middle of U.S. 62 about 10 miles north of Rogers Arkansas soaked and unarmed, with a comb, two 22 shells, and a handkerchief. He had earlier been involved in a jail guard escape and hostage incident, and was believed armed with a hunting knife. Police estimate 40 to 50 officers took part in the northwest Arkansas manhunt near the Oklahoma and Missouri borders.
