Arkansas Public School Fund Averted By Legislative Bill Veto
Arkansas moved to guarantee Public School Fund disbursements with first call on general revenues, but Governor Faubus vetoed the bill on March 28. The veto leaves only County and Municipal Air Funds with guaranteed annual allotments under the Revenue Stabilization Law, while other funds face pro rata reductions if revenues fall short.
