In Louisville juvenile court Judge Louis Jull placed the boy in temporary custody of a civic leader and his wife with a May 2 hearing set to determine return or reform school options. The boy was found in tattered clothing with his Upton Kentucky home not disclosed until parents were traced through a newspaper story.

Little Rock Pulaski Chancellor Guy Williams yesterday barred union picketing of municipal gas line work at Des Are and Hazen. The cities sought an injunction claiming the strike by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union violated the Right to Work amendment. The union argued the wage dispute touched only wages and did not justify stoppage. The judge noted subcontractors showed wage issues rose only after the strike began and warned about hardship in the two cities.
