A two hour hearing in Pulaski County chancellor court examined a vetoed bill that would strip circuit court judges of power to appoint jury commissioners in their districts. Gov. Orval Faubus vetoed the measure March 28. Maddox argues the bill became law before the veto. the state AG contends Faubus acted within the five day window. Attorneys were ordered to file briefs by April 24 as witnesses testified. Less than half the Antarctic continent has been explored.
