Cole Survives Attack At All White Alabama Concert

A stabbing crowd incident disrupted a Cole concert at Municipal Auditorium as three white men charged the stage after a white audience of about 3,000. Police officer Wigginbotham said one assailant struck him with a coke bottle, injuring his nose, while Cole injured his back and chin. He resumed singing after a short pause as the all white audience applauded for several minutes.

University of Arkansas funds aid for pediatric center

A $500000 grant from the Buchanan Foundation will fund a pediatric floor named the William Buchanan Pavilion for Children in the new University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock, opening in June.
