Bobcats Secure 7-0 Victory Over DeQueen Leopards

Hope High School Bobcats shutout DeQueen Leopards 7-0 at DeQueen as Edsel Nix pitched seven innings allowing three safeties. Jed Pant Ingram and Charles Wilson led with two doubles and two singles respectively, William Martin caught, Bud Sutton covered right field, and Hope advances to face Guden High Tuesday at 3:45 PM.

Tabernacle Pre Easter Meet Continues

The Tabernacle Pre Easter revival at Tabernacle continues for another week with 7 30 services each evening led by Evangelist Neil W Webb. Ambassador Quartet from Central Bible Institute Springfield Missouri will sing at all services and appear on KXAR radio programs. Local church groups host meetings and a Good Friday service is planned with a dress of spring social events and a dinner party at the Jewell home for guests including Miss McDowell and Ira Yocom Jr.

Long Criminal Record Trail Nets Alabama Prisoner

Willis Coleman, a 56 year old Negro from Eutaw Alabama, faces four years in two states for manslaughter convictions more than 20 years old. He previously fled Alabama, lived under the name Frank Hunter in Tallulah Louisiana, and earned local respect after buying land on credit. He was arrested last November and sent back to Alabama for trial, while Arkansas must serve a separate manslaughter sentence after completion of Alabama time.

Freed of Rape Charge New Faces Suit In Chicago Boxing Program

Vince Foster, a 22 year old Omaha boxer, was cleared of criminal rape charges in Missouri.
