Mrs Sam Stuart of Beaumont Dies in Texas

Mrs Sam Stuart formerly Janie Thomas of Rope, Beaumont Texas, died Tuesday. Survivors include two sons Edward and James Monroe Stuart and two daughters Susan and Catherine Stuart. Graveside services at St Paul Cemetery near Ozan at 2 p.m. Thursday conducted by Rev S A Whitlow.

Judge Rob erts Disqualifies. Special Judge Named for Grand Jury

Circuit Judge Russell C. Roberts disqualified himself and a special judge, C. R. George of Danville, was chosen to empanel and charge a grand jury in an Arkansas case. Prosecutor Alex G. Streett seeks a session to probe fees in felonies that led to suspended sentences, a practice the state Supreme Court ruled illegal last year. George plans to study the matter before deciding further action.

This Family Really Has Troubles

In January Ronald Preebe a 12 year old boy was struck by a sled and broke his collarbone. In February their 7 year old brother Larry needed surgery on the stump of a prior amputation and his operation was delayed. Their 6 year old sister Juan fell on a hole while riding a bicycle and may need treatment for a damaged bone near her eye. The mother Delores says she has never seen such a year and is under a doctor's care. The family lacks medical insurance but has received partial treatment at Doernbecher Memorial Hospital in Portland fifteen miles away. A bright spot came when Edward the father returned to work as a wood laborer.

Croat Gunmen Invade Yugoslav Embassy in Stockholm

Two Croatian gunmen attacked the Yugoslav Embassy in Stockholm injuring Ambassador Vladimir Rolovic and three others. After a 45 minute siege, police persuaded them to surrender by throwing their guns out a window. The attackers shouted slogans about a free Croatia.

Sarver Says Arkansan Can Qualify As Commissioner

Robert Sarver, fired March 29 as state correction commissioner, told about 250 Arkansas Tech students in Russellville that the board need not look outside Arkansas for a professional replacement. Communists Agree to Talk Again in Vietnam Talks

Body Found in Stone County Man After Car Crash

Wilburney Proctor, 51, of Fiftysix Stone County, was found about 12 miles northwest of Mountain View. State Police said he likely died in a one car crash on a county road about three days earlier after losing control of his vehicle.
