Dororthy Dix Helpless Males Dialogue Reflections
A reader asks Dororthy Dix for advice on how women should be treated by men. The response argues there is no remedy for male gullibility and uses biblical figures to illustrate women’s influence. It then shifts to views on marriage, urging caution and presenting multiple reasons against young men marrying before they are ready. The column includes several brief reader questions about marriage, fidelity, and gossip, with blunt, period tone commentary.

Four Electric Firms May Go on Strike
Four large electrical companies employing over 30,000 workers face imminent wage and benefit demands. The IUE currently has a contract with General Motors. The IUB claims 210,000 members and seeks a $1.41 hourly wage rise and a minimum $125 monthly pension, echoing steel industry patterns from last year.
