Electric chair ends life of Ghost Ride Slayer Frazer
Frazer, aged about 33, was executed by electric chair in Strenton for the murder of Phoebe Stader. He walked into the death chamber calmly, smoking a cigarette, and sat down without emotion. The case, linked to a parade murder tale told by cousin Ira Jansen, involved a nude decomposed body found later near Bowling Green Va and tied to Frazer through a string of suspect actions. He had been a New York restaurant manager who inherited $25,000, was married with two children, and faced a determined, lengthy investigation before his 1931 conviction and 193? execution.
