Hydro Forfeits Dalles Franchise Over Due Power
The Hydro Electric Company of Hood River appears to have forfeited its The Dalles franchise as its acceptance and start dates passed. An ordinance from December 5, 1911, required 60 days for acceptance and $1000 with it, plus work to begin within nine months and operation within six more months. The company did not meet provisions and risks losing the fleet and rights. Sheriff Levi Chrisman arrested W. G. Chaffin near Mosier for assault with a dangerous weapon. Chaffin says Hall owes him wages.
