Two Men Sentenced to Terms in Penitentiary
Circuit Judge Bradshaw sentences two men after a second day of sessions. L W Whit held up a drug store clerk and obtained cocaine, receiving 1 to 10 years, while Sam Winstead, arrested for horse stealing, gets 1 to 7 years. Whit is described as a drug fiend. Winstead’s act involved stealing horses from the Warm Springs Reservation and selling them locally. Additional indictments and a divorce-related case against Mrs Carrie Satterlee and Wayne Mack are noted, with trials yet to come. The grand jury has completed an initial indictments list and continues work.
