A Denver bond house letter discussed bidding on Hood River water bonds, advising against opposition plants and noting lawsuits in Helena, Lewiston, and Phoenix. The City Engineer reported over 3000 feet of cement walk laid. finances showed a little over $3000 in the treasury. Council planned a follow up meeting and discussed obtaining right of way for the municipal water pipeline with the city attorney advising property-line acquisition rather than concessions.

Japanese lodging-house brawl leaves one wounded grimly
In a First street lodging house run by K Yashanori a quarrel between Hyoto and another Japanese companion ended with a gunshot. Nabuyi identified the shooter as Sabuyi who struck the head with a gun clip. Kyoto and other intoxicated locals were blamed for the trouble. Nabuyi and Kyoto were hospitalized. Yashanari was arrested for illegal liquor sales. Deputy D A Hartwig injured, Wilson to handle case. Hearing set for today with Grand Jury next week.

The Hellbronner Company announces two land acquisitions in the Mount Hood Willow Flat region. One purchase of 200 acres by J. R. Potowin W. G. Han and L. K. Kelly lies about two miles north of the Mount Hood post office, with some development and improvements under way.
