Sheriff To Be Elected In November
Suspended Sheriff Raymond Taylor pleaded guilty in Tyler federal court last week and faces sentencing on June 23. Judge Frank Wear Sr. appointed Mike Bankston as sheriff to serve the remainder of Taylor’s term, with the November election likely to choose a replacement for the full two years.
