Ronald Taylor Named Area V FFA Vice President
Ronald Taylor son of Mr and Mrs Max Taylor of Rt 2 Honey Grove was elected Area V FFA Vice President at the Area V FFA meeting. He previously served District VI FFA as Sentinel and won the Farm and Homestead Improvement Award. He will be a senior in 1979 80 and has been a chapter officer in the Honey Grove High School Vocational Agriculture Program. Chapter advisors are Charles Yarbrough and Dale Thomas.

Windom School Board Hires Two New Teachers
The Windom School Board met on Wednesday June 13 and hired Jeff Hefner as agricultural instructor and Milton Page as science teacher and coach for the 1979-1980 year. Haise Cunningham was appointed to replace William Barrett on the Board of Equalization, with Frank Howell and Oleta Williams remaining. The board also tasked Bill Lightfoot of Paris to recommend exterior maintenance and repairs for the Windom school building.

Nancy Creed Named Director of Nurses at Grove Manor
Mrs Nancy Creed of Honey Grove assumed the duties of Director of Nurses at Grove Manor Nursing Home in Honey Grove on June 16 1979. A native of Honey Grove she now resides in Wolfe City with husband Jimmy employed by Farmway. She has a son Jared and is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Wesley Wright of Honey Grove. Creed attended Paris Junior College and earned an associate degree in nursing. Moran says Creed’s association will be a definite asset to the home.
