Honey Grove Golf Club hosts a nine hole scramble Thursday June 13 at 6 p.m. Allen Point Community Club meets Monday June 24 at 7 p.m. Vacation Bible School runs June 17 to 21 from 8:30 to 11:30 daily at First Baptist Windom with a VE S parade on June 15 and a church picnic after. Parents night is June 23 after service with child projects on display.

Local AA offers help to stay sober nationwide
Alcoholics Anonymous is a world wide fellowship of about a million members who help each other maintain sobriety and share recovery experiences. Anyone who thinks they have a drinking problem is welcome at an A A meeting. Meetings are held every Wednesday night from 8 to 9 p.m. at a City Hall meeting room second floor.

Spectators braved heat as Fannin County Historical Commission Honey Grove officials and civic leaders dedicated a Texas Historical Commission marker to the Honey Grove City Hall. Mayor Avery received the lithograph gift by Miss Mary Wells linking city pioneers to the building’s century of service.
