Joy Ken nette Billings and James Bradford Smoot of Honey Grove are named to the Vice-President's Honor List for the 1981 Spring Semester at Paris Junior College. Eligibility requires 15 or more semester hours, no grade below C, and a 3.5 GPA or higher. A total of 128 PJC students earned the honor this spring.

Evening of Music by Windom Lions Club at School Auditorium

The Windom Lions Club will host an evening of country and western music at the Windom school auditorium on Friday June 12 at 8 o clock. The featured group is White Lace and Whiskey from Bogota. Rev Wilson Shelley Named New McKenzie Methodist Minister

The Rev Wilson Shelley formerly at Trinity United Methodist Church Wichita Falls becomes minister for Honey Grove McKenzie Telephone Monks town and Forest Hill churches. He and his wife move into the parsonage Wednesday and begin preaching Sunday. Shelley succeeds Rev John Lightfoot transferred to Perry near Waco. He is a native of Anna with degrees from John Brown University and SMU and a long career in Dallas media. He holds a pilot license and has held church and civic roles. He will preach at Monkstown Telephone and McKenzie churches this Sunday morning.
