Graveside Rites For Mrs. Blanch McKee
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday May 22 1972 at Oakwood Cemetery for Mrs. Blanch McKee of Lakewood California former Dial community resident who died Friday night in Lakewood. The Rev Arthur Osborne Presbyterian minister conducted services with Cooper-Sorrels Funeral Home handling arrangements. Mrs. McKee born January 7 1884 was daughter of the late Dick and Bell Jenkins Wood. She married Edgar W. McKee who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Dial. Survivors include one daughter Mrs. R Q Mills of Lakewood California and one grandson Robert W Mills of San Francisco California.

Playschool Slated For June 12 16 at Honey Grove High
The Homemaking Department at Honey Grove High announces a play school for age 3 to 6 from June 12 to 16 at the Elementary School, 9 to 11 each morning. Six year olds who have not entered first grade may attend. Homemaking students in the Summer Phase join in. Activities include crafts games music and story telling to give students hands on experience. Parents may enroll by contacting Mrs. Dixie Black at the high school or home.

Miss Benoit Among 114 Graduates at PIC Commencement
Miss Mary Jean Benoit daughter of Mrs Francise Benoit of 805 N 10th was among 114 Paris Junior College graduates. A 1970 Honey Grove High School alumna she majored in business administration and earned Dean's Honor List honors. Dr Harold Hunt PIC Board of Regents president gave the address and diplomas were presented by PIC president Louis B Williams.

Collins Completes Weeks Advanced Training at Fort Polk
Private Randy F. Collins, 24, son of Mr and Mrs Earl Collins of Honey Grove, completed nine weeks of advanced individual training at the U S Army Infantry Training Center Fort Polk Louisiana. He trained as light weapons infantry and mortar crewman, learned explosives handling and mine disarming, and practiced rifle and mortar squad teamwork for casualty readiness. He entered the Army last December after graduating Honey Grove High School in 1966 and a pharmacy degree from Southwestern State College in 1971.
