Bill Nelson Named New Honey Grove High Coach and AD
Bill Nelson is the new athletic director and head coach at Honey Grove High School. He began duties last Wednesday after resigning as assistant coach and teacher in the Bonham system. Nelson, a native of Albany Texas, starred in track and football in high school and earned All-State Offensive honors in 1971. He attended Mountain View Junior College and McMurry College, earning a secondary education degree in 1975. He has taught and coached in Bonham and Forney districts and is married to Nancy Hawk ins. They plan to move to Honey Grove once housing is available and will attend local churches.
