Thirteen delegates from Fannin County Farm Bureau joined about 1,500 attendees from 212 county bureaus at the Texas Farm Bureau convention in Dallas November 26 to 29. Membership year ended October 31 with 1642 members. New officers were elected September 23, 1978, including Royce Magness as President and Ernest Hill II as Vice President.

Chamber Meets Tuesday for December Gathering
The Honey Grove Chamber of Commerce will hold its December meeting at 7 00 oclock Tuesday evening December 5 in the Robert West Annex of PJC Fannin County Center. Officers will be named for 1979 and details of the annual banquet on Monday February 5 will be set. President Jimmie Doyle said the meeting was moved from Monday because of a school program.

Underpaid workers total 129 million in 1978 wage cases

IRS Audits Frustrate Seattle Couple for 23 Years

Honey Grove Basketball Season Opens Strong
The 1978 79 Honey Grove Warriors and Warriorettes have all wins in five games. They defeated West Lamar Pottsboro Delmar Sam Rayburn and are set to travel to Savoy. They enter Wolfe City tournament from November 30 to December 2 with coaches Cassell and Cummins expressing pride.

Christmas Concert Opens Holiday Season at Honey Grove
The first Christmas concert of the season will be December 4 at 7:60 PM in the High School Auditorium. Honey Grove Elementary School choral students grades K to 5 directed by Mrs Nell Blacketer perform with the elementary band. Robert Branstom leads the band portion. A later Can Delight Christmas Carol Service is announced for December 18 featuring High School Choir and bands.
