Wind River Wind River-Hopi Drilling Resumes After Parts Arrival

Drilling at the Wind River Hopi well resumed at noon after a brief shutdown caused by non arrival of bull wheel parts. Depth reached 640 feet with hopes to strike water soon. Two towers will continue with accelerated progress under the Wind River superintendent in charge.

The O Kell Core Rotary Churn Drill reached St Joseph on Wednesday for mobilization to the Richards Owens lease, with unloading starting. F. E. Stitzer of Fleming & Stitzer, based in Jerome, visited Holbrook to inspect field property he already holds. He says a Ranger firm forming as Arizona Ranger Oil Co will be incorporated in Arizona and operate in the Holbrook field with active development within 60 days. He notes little drop in Ranger activity and that many investors are watching to join the first rush.

Mrs Kenneth Myers arrives from Winslow and stays with Mrs C H Jordan. A card party hosts her this afternoon. Saturday drives to the Petrified Forest and luncheon with Mrs Jordan precede a Saturday dance and midnight supper. Sunday a four lady outing to White River then Mrs Myers returns to Winslow Monday.

W J Hennessy secretary manager of the Adamana Oil Co returned from a coast trip and says Ventura holdings progress is satisfactory with three wells now on the pump and another spudding soon by Clampitt. The company contemplates stock withdrawal or a substantial price increase after July 1.
