Roman Sanchez aged about seventeen, son of a rancher on the Coleman place between Snowflake and Holbrook, was injured when he fell from a moving pickup. The truck ran over him and dislocated his hip. The patient is described as improving despite the pain.
At a recent MIA event in the LDS Church, the MIA young ladies and Bee Hive Swarm hosts wore crepe paper hats and colorful carnations. A boxing match between Norma Divelbess and Dessie Patterson ended in a tie. games and dancing followed a lunch that impressed all guests. Deputy Sheriff W G Kelly of Winslow warns to spot a middle aged man with a dark swarthy complexion in a blue shirt driving a 1917 Model Ford Touring Car with Arizona plate N 5 2074. The car owner was brutalized near Prescott last Sunday eve. authorities seek the suspect nicknamed Will Get'em.
The community mourns 18 year old Thomas Hancock of Taylor who died after influenza led to pneumonia. He left a wife four children and two adopted children. Funeral speakers included Atty T R Greer Judge Geo H Crosby Frank M Perkins Joseph W Smith and Mary S Shumway.
Fishermen from Holbrook suffer a fishing itch driving them to seclusion in the mountains. Arthur Schuster B A Jackson Teeple Cook and Ted Reuter joined the retreat the same day. The piece predicts Teep will return with the biggest fish story.

Phillip Montano, famed for his friendly service at the Drug Store Soda Fountain, left on a vacation this week for ten days or two weeks. His travels begin in Gallup and include a later stop in Albuquerque. Meanwhile, Burr Porter of Navajo visited from his ranch on Tuesday and Wetzler advertises a new line of trunks and traveling bags.
