Local couple celebrates twenty first wedding anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. John Flanigan entertained friends for whist marking their twenty first anniversary. Prizes of sweet peas grown by Mrs. Flanigan, refreshments of ice cream and cake, and a water set presented to Mrs. Flanigan. Neighbors praised the couple’s happy home as Judge and Mrs. Sid ney Sapp and daughter planned a trip to Los Angeles for a Knight Templar conclave.

Alleged Whiskey Destroyed Under Sheriff Carried Out Destruction
Witnessed last Monday afternoon by Prof. Peterson and The News editor. Undersheriff Clemons used a hammer to destroy 26 bottles alleged to contain whiskey. The bottles were seized as contraband by the sheriff's office in prior bootlegging arrests. Both witnesses were not allowed to sample the contents.

The eighth grade graduation was held Friday evening June 16 1916 at the L D S Church in Holbrook. Exercises featured Salutatory by Moncrieff Cousins Class Flower Willie Woods Vision Lola Rencher Valedictory Rachel Thomas and Presentation Oration by Ed Woods with the song The Four Leaf Clover. Supt Joseph Peterson awarded diplomas as the class motto Forward and colors pink and white were noted.
