Railroad Survey Starts for Big Pine Forests Line

Corps of Engineers began early this week surveying a route from Holbrook toward the big pine forests seventy miles south. Local capitalists back a new railroad venture now reportedly funded, with surveys already in progress and camps established. Built to tapping vast timber resources, the project aims to start construction soon after preliminary work ends.

Helbrook Organizes New Town Council Meeting

The Helbrook town council met in Councilman W H Chamberlins office Tuesday evening and organized. Present were Chamberlin Hennessey Flanigan and Diverbess with Cooley absent. Clerk B B Neel recorded brief minutes ahead of the regular monthly meeting scheduled for Wednesday evening.

Old Timer Hance Praises Snowflake and Arizona Pioneers

Camp Verde trader Geo M Hance visits Holbrook and Navajo county with cattle for Joe Dent recounting early Arizona life. Holbrook Sees Boom Amid Northern Arizona Growth

Ilfeld Sisters Tie the Knot in Albuquerque Nuptials

Mr Richard Schuster and his sister Miss Edna Schuster attended the double wedding of Miss Beatrice Ilfeld and Miss Ruth Ilfeld in Temple Albert Albuquerque last Saturday night. Dr Moise Bergman performed the ceremony, praised by the Albuquerque Morning Journal as brilliant. Beatrice Ilfeld wed Leopold Meyer and Ruth Ilfeld wed Eugene Ach. Mr and Miss Schuster returned to Holbrook Sunday night.
