Plans For Navajo County Fair Rolling Along

Plans for the 1979 Navajo County Fair proceed under Navajo County Recreation Director Frank Perkins. Bids Open Tomorrow for Snowflake Bridge Project

Bids will be opened tomorrow for the Snowflake Cottonwood Wash bridge at the junction of State Routes 77 and 277 in Snowflake. The project covers a 1.01 mile span featuring a ten span continuous cast in place bridge, approach slabs, asphalt pavement, emulsion and chip seal coat, storm drain system, and related work. Also scheduled: bids on Highway 60 near Carrizo Creek to Forestdale, and Dry Lake Road from Holbrook to Heber.

Holbrook Activities Include Luncheon Run and Office Visits

The Holbrook Navajo County Histori cal Society hosts a luncheon today at noon. Winslow plans a 12,000 meter street run Saturday at 6 30 p m featuring Chuck Smead Pan American marathon runner. Congressman Eldon Rudd's mobile office visits Holbrook areas today and Holbrook School Board meets at 7 30 p m to discuss principal appointment. Navajo County Parks Commission meets Friday at 8 p m at Maxwell Vane Restaurant Show on. Social Security rep visits Holbrook June 19 10 a m to 12 noon and 1 p m to 3 p m at city hall. Holbrook firemen sell Fourth of July tickets and will host fireworks display at the Navajo County Governmental Center south of town.
