Judge Sidney Sapp and Attor ney H Jordan of Holbrook vacationed in mountain streams for trout. On day one Sapp held five fish while Jordan had seven. Day two they rivaled each other with counts and tricks, ending in a friendly boast about twelve versus ten, then planning supper to outdo their wives.

Wedding Bell to Be Held in Winslow Saturday Morning

Father George Marx of Winslow will officiate at a wedding for Mr William B Warren and Miss Eliza Lopez on Saturday at 6 o'clock at the bride's mother's home. A wedding breakfast will follow and an evening dance at Ortega's hall with music by the Winslow orchestra.

Flag Day Observance Announced by Governor Hunt

June 14 will be Flag Day across Arizona per Governor George W. P. Hunt proclamation. Notables in town include Juan Antonio Garcia, wool buyer from Albuquerque. Hon. W. H. Clark back from Navajo County. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thomas with children en route to their ranch for summer. Dr. W. B. Calison and Dr. Maud Calison of Los Angeles hosted by Mrs. C. A. Garner. Rev. Carl M. Ross of Winslow delivered a sermon on the Golden Rule. Andrew Jennings of Taylor visited with Misses Johnson en route to El Paso to join their father. Miss Viola Morterson of Thatcher visited Holbrook and St Johns with the Udalls.

James and Will Scorse learned this week that their brother in law Albert Broden of Reading Pennsylvania received The Decoration of Knighthood from the king of Sweden. The Order of Vasa, first class, honors his work strengthening Sweden United States friendship. The decoration was presented in Washington by Sweden's minister. Broden, once a visitor to Holbrook, is well known here.

Couple Wed in Pinetop as Denmark Bride Marries

In Pinetop last week, Lars Peterson wed Mrs Jensen at the groom’s home with Justice of the Peace John Lewis officiating. Peterson, a wealthy retired gentleman, is well known in Navajo County. The bride hails from Copenhagen, Denmark, arriving by ship a month ago to join him. The News offers congratulations.

Yuma County Bonds Sought for Permanent Highway System

The Gazette reports a $300,000 bond issue to fund a permanent highway system in Yuma County. Winona wagons offered in Navajo Apache counties

Car load of Winona wagons arrives with sole agency in Navajo and Apache counties. Hon R C Smith took a several day business trip to Snowflake with his two young sons visiting grandmother. On the Holbrook return Monday night F W Nelson Dr Roberts and Ove E Overson were stranded near Milky Station due to a broken drive pinion and key in Nelsons E M F car, delaying home until 1 30 pm. Doe Lemon notified by phone to aid them. Nelson said he never encountered a place where he could not proceed home without help.
