The state bank examiner filed a voluminous report with the superior court detailing the Raynolds bank collapse. The findings indicate insolvency, unsafe practice, and loans benefiting insiders, with deposits and assets misaligned. Receiver John R. Hulet appointed. bond set at 25 000. state, county, and city deposits named.
Mrs. R. K. Bruton and daughter Helen visit Miss Helen’s grandmother in Adamana. Chas. Von Achen to install an electric starter on the hand motor at least. Miss Bower, schoolteacher, fully recovered and to resume duties Monday. Beasley brothers return from the dam project at G Lake. Arthur Beasley to work with Zuni oil well. A supposed uprising of Navajos near town proved to be a mere boil on the chief’s neck.
The Ameri can Legion Red Cross Girls Friendly M E Sunday School and Christian Science Society funds were lost in the Raynolds bank along with money raised for Crumley family relief.
After six weeks of difficult, clay-filled drilling the Holbrook field progresses into hard limestone with water sealed. Geologists believe the cap rock over the sand will yield a gusher once penetrated and drilling may reach sand by January 1921. The company reports excellent finances and expects early oil, with 3 500 feet or more depth anticipated and several rig upgrades underway. Progress is rapid as a new engine and cable arrive, promising a vigorous drilling phase ahead.
Rosario Candelaria a cattleman of Concho was here on business Monday. C L Rhoton of Lakeside was in Holbrook Monday on business. County Attorney Greer returned Monday from Phoenix where he attended a conference with the new attorney general and county attorneys. Jack Marden returned last Tuesday from Phoenix and Prescott where he has been on business. R S Teeple was in Winslow Tuesday on business. The man with a narrow mind usually has a broad mouth.
Arthur B. Doyle of Win slow was granted a divorce from Delphine Doyle on grounds of desertion, while Arthur G. Smith was divorced from Ola O. for the same reason.
Win slow couple D B Farnsworth and Margaret Reynolds joined their fortunes in Holbrook this week with the help of Cupid and Judge Easley.

Supervisor elect Owens arrived from Snowflake on Tuesday with Mrs Owens. She departed Wednesday morning for a trip to California.
L. M. Raynolds, head of the Raynolds banking system, was escorted to the Snowflake court by Deputy Sheriff DeWitt to face a second charge. The judge disqualified himself and remanded him to custody as another warrant stalks the case. Justice Freeman will hear both charges next Monday with County Attorney Greer arriving from Phoenix to represent the state amid public indignation.
