Holbrook voters in the school district will decide tomorrow whether to issue $8,000 in bonds to complete the new school building. Polls open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All qualified voters who pay property tax may vote. Total available funds would reach $33,000 with the bonds, enough to finish construction and furnish the building.
The Douglas to Phoenix road race drew praise for using straight distilled Red Crown gasoline with no mixtures. C. L Cord in a Paige won, credited to uniform power from the fuel. Former presidential contender Charles E. Hughes will join the New York City firm of Rounds Schurman and Dwight at 96 Broadway beginning January 1. His son Charles E. Hughes Jr. will also enter the firm, which will be renamed Hughes Rounds Schurman and Dwight. Other associates include Arthur C. Rounds George E. Schurman Richard H. Dwight and several named partners.

G Paul Geary, a Arizona corporation commissioner, was elected to the directorate of the Big Jerome Copper company recently organized in the Jerome district. He will head the company after his term on the commission ends January 1st, and is noted for mining interests across Arizona.
