Burglary At St Joseph Mercantile Store Reported
Burglary occurred Wednesday night at the St Joseph Mercantile store owned by Richards Bros in St Joseph twelve miles west of Holbrook. Entrance gained by skeleton keys, safe blown with nitroglycerin, about $50 missing plus jewelry Indian bracelets and cutlery. Total loss around $200. Sheriff Newman suspects professionals but no arrests yet.

Col F. 8 Breen chief of the military department of Arizona reports the average cost per drafted man delivered to the railroad in Navajo County was 13853 dollars.
