Dormitory Work Near Completion at Holbrook BIA
Holbrook BIA dormitory near completion with a face lift and set to open to all students Sunday August 30 at 10 am. Project cost estimated at 1.1 million dollars by supervisor Bob Russell of John Paddock Construction Tucson. Remodeling includes insulation sheet rock paint aluminum windows and new gutters doors and roofing. Ground around the dorm was graded reseeded and additional carpet may be laid. About 230 American Indian students will use the facility. 20 athletic students currently stay there under Grace Yazzie. A BIA motorpool bus will shuttle students from Bidahochi to relieve overload on the regular school bus route via White Cone and Bidahochi.
