County Officials Salary Dispute Heard by Judge Perkins

The case of County Officials vs Coconino County heard yesterday before Judge Perkins. He rendered a decision in favor of the plaintiffs regarding the money difference due to the statutory salary increase. Judge Doe appeared for the plaintiffs as reported by Flagstaff Sun.

Ramer Funeral Observed By Holbrook Masons

Funeral and burial for H. J. Ramer were held in Holbrook with Masonic rites. His brother J. A. Ramer of Miles City Mont joined the service, and the procession moved from the Masonic temple to Holbrook cemetery. Ramer died June 19 of heart failure at Dry Lake. he was a longtime livestock businessman and a Mason in several rites. he is survived by two brothers and two sisters.

Flagstaff Baseball Team Falls Short In Holbrook Tilt

The Flagstaff contingent traveled to Holbrook last Sunday to play baseball toward a hoped win at the Petrified Forest. They logged few hits and the final score stood 11 to 13 in favor of Holbrook, despite Flagstaff scoring 11 through the nine stages of their program. Local fans followed the game and the team said they had a good time regardless of the loss.

Joe Lopez Goes to Navy Exam with Holbrook Friends

Joe Lopez and four companions left Holbrook for Los Angeles to take Navy enlistment exams. Relatives saw them off with good wishes and knitted wool sweaters from the Holbrook Knitting Club. Only Lopez passed the Monday test in Los Angeles and the telegram added he would proceed to San Diego for training at Balboa Park.
